你為私利參選嗎?
選委會的唯一功能是提名及選舉行政長官。有很多選委候選人對此點避而不談或沒有任何承諾, 反而將視線轉移到一些與行政長官選舉無直接關係的議題上。我個人的看法是, 與我們業界有關的議題固然重要, 但對此選委會唯一責任也不願多提的人更可能是為私利參選。
我參選的目的是推動一個有競爭的行政長官選舉。我的唯一得益是讓資訊科技界別的五千選民收到我的基本資料。也許我的表態對我自己的工作會有負面的影響, 但我相信此可能性很低。若有任何關於選委工作的政治壓力, 我會在此網誌上披露。
民主最重要的是參與。你同意我與否也好, 請你於十二月十日星期日行使你的投票權!!
Are you running for your own interest?
The sole responsibility of the Election Committee is to nominate and elect a Chief Executive for Hong Kong. Many candidates tried to divert voters’ sight to issues that are not directly related to this matter, and avoid making any pledges for this primary responsibility. Issues related to our industry certainly are important, but I personally tend to believe those who avoid making pledges for this primary responsibility, that is, the election of a Chief Executive for Hong Kong, are more likely running for their own private interest.
I think a Contested CE Election is the minimum owed to Hong Kong. Of course I do benefit from this campaign, that I could reach all 5000 voters of the ITFC. But some cautioned me that my career may be affected due to my explicit pledge. I trust Hong Kong, I trust our motherland, and I trust there will not be such pressure.
